By Public Transport
The best train service for Pollok Park and Lochinch departs from Glasgow Central to
Pollokshaws West station - trains are relatively frequent during the day (you can check train
times here) - journey time is about 10 minutes.

When you come out of the station turn left and a few yards away you will see the entrance to
Pollok Park.  It's a very pleasant walk from the entrance to the grounds at Lochinch which should
take you about 10- 15 minutes.  You may be able to jump on the courtesy bus from the park
entrance to Pollok House but please note this service isn't always available.

~ Following the park road it's a straight walk with the woods on either side
~ As you walk you will pass the Pollok Cricket and Tennis Club and the Strathclyde Police
Mounted and Dog Branch on your left
~ Continue till you come to the open fields (usually with Highland Cattle)
~ At the junction continue straight ahead with fields on either side
~ You will pass Pollok House entrance on your left (if you have taken the courtesy bus this is
where you will be dropped off) continue straight on
~ The road will then bend to the left and you will come to a 'cross roads' - turn to your right which
will take you passed a car park area (on your left)
~ Continue to follow the road which will bend round to the right
~ The Lochinch grounds will be clearly visible after a couple more minutes walking.
